Posted April 13, 2022: In 2010 AAUW conducted a comprehensive study of the puzzling under-representation of women in STEM Fields, and published their research findings in a report titled “Why So Few? Women in Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics.”
In 2011-2012, a team from AAUW Ballwin-Chesterfield developed a traveling toolkit for students, teachers, and parents, designed to present these findings and suggest ways to address them. Included in the toolkit was the following brochure, “A Parents’ Guide to Raising STEM Daughters” (in PDF) and in WORD. The WORD version may be edited to fit your branch needs.
